Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tracston Secrets (“the Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you agree on that organization’s behalf.

1. The Service

The Service lets you share a secret through a link that is intended to be viewed once and is then destroyed, or that expires after a chosen time. Delivery of a link is your responsibility; anyone with the link (and any passphrase you set) may view the secret once.

2. Acceptable use

• Only share data you are authorized to share.
• Do not use the Service for unlawful content, malware, phishing, harassment, or to violate others’ rights.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, or circumvent the Service’s security, rate limits, or access controls.
• Automated/API use must respect the published limits and your assigned scopes.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and activity. New registrations may require administrator approval. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or present a security or abuse risk.

4. No guarantee of delivery or availability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Because secrets are one-time and cryptographically deleted after viewing or expiry, we cannot recover a secret once it is gone. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tracston is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss arising from a secret being viewed, expired, burned, or mis-delivered. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

6. Changes & governing law
